1. It would be nice if you could assign an files encoding to the ftp server. I work on many diffrent servers that not always have the same encoding
2. Also i would like to open 2 files next to each other. My english is not as good as I want it to be, so i hope that you understand what i mean.

Hi.

1) You may assign any encoding to each file.
Current encoding are shown on status bar.
For changing encoding, please, go to Top Menu -> File -> Change Encoding.

2) Yes, we undestand you. We already have windows splitting ability in our plans.

Regards,
Codelobster Team.

How do I FTP files from one computer to another? Looking for freeware, easy to use FTP programs? Specifically, from one computer with Windows XP to another computer with Red Hat Linux. I've never used FTP before and would like steps. Otherwise, is there an FTP program out there that has minimal setup procedures and can let you drag and drop?

Hi.

For copy files via FTP using Codelobster
you should Add FTP connection, press "Copy" on your local files and "Paste" on targed folder in FTP tree in the File Explorer.

Regards,
Codelobster Team.
