would be usefull to set default encoding for project, not for IDE in general.
I'd almost broke one of my old projects 'cause CL opened and saved it's files in utf-8 (backup rulezz )

There should be a default file for saving. Does it vary every time you hit Save As?

I did not hit "save as", i just created project from folder with sources and opened files from it. Then saved 'em using ctrl+s. But files was in one encoding and CL saved 'em in another encoding, so a part of text was missed.
The only way to work with it is remember, that right after opening file you are to change encoding for each file manualy.
