I've been a CodeLobster user for several years. I recently did a month's evaluation of three other IDEs - Komodo, NetBeans and Aptana - but have returned to CodeLobster, primarily because its PHP debugging works out of the box. However, there are two things about CodeLobster I'd dearly like to see changed, so I'm going to post them here separately to make it easier for the team to manage the suggestions.
When editing stylesheets, CodeLobster enforces the following format.
Code:
.myclass{
background-color:#ababab;
}
I realise this is the most commonly used representation of css. However, I always use compact formating for my stylesheets.
Code:
.myclass{background-color:#ababab;}
I find fighting against CodeLobster's insistence on inserting linebreaks truly annoying, to the point where I no longer use it for editing CSS. On recent projects I'm using LESS a lot, and CodeLobster allows me to lay out those files the way I prefer. But It would be great to be able to change the default file formating.
If this functionality already exists somewhere in CodeLobster's
Preferences, please let me know. And thanks for reading.
