Hello Lobster,

Firstly, let me say that I've just discovered CodeLobster, and I think it seems like the most exciting thing after 'net porn, and I'm itching to get it running and usable for my projects.

So, basic install, simple little script, one breakpoint.
See attached image for script and project settings.

Why does this breakpoint not stop execution?

I trialled NuSphere PHPEd, and at first appearance it looks like Lobster is going to be a tough competitor, and I'm really quite excited about finding what looks like a great tool to use, and it would be fantastic if the debug feature operated.

Ideally I'd like to be able to stepover a modest CMS, such as this one I look after (australiansucculents[dot]com)

How do I configure Lobster to debug/breakpoint?

1) Please, check your PHP extensions folder. Has it php_cl_dbg_5_2.dll ?
If No - please, copy php_cl_dbg_5_2.dll into it.

2) Please, check your php.ini file.
Does in contain record about php_cl_dbg_5_2.dll ?
Please, try to remove this string, Codelobster will add it after starting.

php_cl_dbg_5_2.dll copied to the extensions directory = check

I commented out the reference to php_cl_dbg_5_2.dll in php.ini but the breakpoint was not hit.

When I enable the DLL reference in php.ini, the breakpoint is hit.

This is with my simple one page test script.

When I try with my CMS (local version of australiansucculents.com), index.php runs, but breakpoint that are set in modules are not hit.

ie.,
index.php = ok, breakpoint hit
/modules/module_name/unit_name.php = no breakpoint halt

Is this usual in a CMS environment, or is there a way to get around this?

I've attached another image showing the properties for this project, which shows the URL debug for the project.
It was already set as shown (http://localhost/gecko/)

On my machine the xampp web_root is d:/xampp/htdocs (this is where http://localhost is)

Note that the directory /gecko/ is mapped via Apache alias:
Alias /gecko/ "d:/xampp/gecko/"

Could that have something to do with it?

To dig into the module code I was to trap with a breakpoint, the generated URL is something like:
http://localhost/gecko/index.php?mact=CartMadeSimple,cntnt01,cart,0&cntnt01name=&cntnt01perfaction=add_product&cntnt01product_id=1&cntnt01qty=1&cntnt01returnmod=ShopMadeSimple&cntnt01returnid=15

I feel like I'm frustratingly and tantalizingly close to what I want, which is step over code in the sub-modules.

Can you again please offer assistance in what to do?

1) Try to debug your project step by step from index.php
Does your modules with breakpoints work at all?

2) Please, try to move your project to
d:/xampp/htdocs/gecko/
(add htdocs folder)
and set all setiings to this folder without aliases.

3) If this doesn't help - please, send your project to supprot@codelobster.com and say where your have set your breakpoints.

I moved the project to d:/xampp/htdocs, which is localhost

I removed the /gecko/ alias from php.ini to make sure there was nothing cross-referenced.

Same thing as previously - a breakpoint in index.php is hit, but, a module breakpoint isn't hit.
The attached image shows the project layout and the unit breakpoint.

Unfortunately program execution seems to hang and disappear in http netherworld at one point in index.php, so I cannot step over the code beyond that point.
