 Post subject: How to keep up with latest PHP versions?

Well, we all know how PHP releases new versions along with its security and performance patches. At the same time, they do tend to depreciate the old versions. For sure we should keep up with the latest versions of PHP for obvious reasons.

My question here is how to keep up with the changes in the new versions of PHP with respect to the code of our applications? Is PHP error log super reliable when it comes to finding issues with the change of PHP version?
