Hi.

Let's try to resolve one problem at first.
You describe several errors.

1) Do You use Linux or Windows OS?

2) Do You try to install CakePHP or Wordpress?

3) What error do You get:
Code:
Cannot create CakePHP project because error:
Critical error: Setup CakePHP error

or
Code:
Cannot download wordpress

They are different problems.

4) What are your last values while project creating?
"Virtual folder" should be without project folder.
And, please, try to enter some new project name.

5) Windows setting should be something like:
Virtual folder C:\xampp\htdocs
Project name xxxx
URL for project http://localhost/xxxx/

Thanks,
Codelobster Team.

Hi there

We have one in Windows and one in Linux.
Both have a similar problem,
Code:
Cannot download wordpress
on both systems.
When not putting a project name we cannot go forward.

OK one by one:
1) Do You use Linux or Windows OS? One Linux Mint 18.3 64bit and one Win 7 64bit

2) Do You try to install CakePHP or Wordpress? Wordpress

3) What error do You get: Cannot download wordpress
Code:
Cannot create CakePHP project because error:
Critical error: Setup CakePHP error

or
Code:
Cannot download wordpress
this one
Both systems suffer the same problem.

4) What are your last values while project creating? Project folder put in, permissions set to 777
"Virtual folder" should be without project folder.
And, please, try to enter some new project name. Ok

5) Windows setting should be something like:
Virtual folder C:\xampp\htdocs
Project name xxxx
URL for project http://localhost/xxxx/ OK

I think it downloads the wp zipfile into .local/share/codelobsterIDE and not into the lampp/htdocs/xxxxx folder.

Hi.

Looks like You have some very special settings or restrictions.
We can propose You only last thing - access to your PC via TeamViewer.
And we will try to resolve this issue very quickly.

Thanks,
Codelobster Team.

Hi this is the 2th time I tell you not really
1rst I'm on Linux, to install teamviewer there is a lot to do to make it work.
Easier is just telling me what to do. But I will ask my wife if the will do it as she works on Windows.
How is your Spanish?

As we can see the Codelobster does not work correct.
It does not work in Window and in Linux with the same problem?
Quote:
Cannot download wordpress

Where do we change the path of the download
We are running in circles. How many people answer this thread? So far 3 I believe.

Hi.

It is a new error already.

1) Please, double check the password for MySQL.
It should be root password to create new database.

2) Please, try 127.0.0.1 for MySQL instead of "localhost".

Thanks,
Codelobster Team.

Hi there
Its a new error due to not mentioning that the DB should be set up before.
With MySQL DB set with User and PSW we get this result:

Hi.

What value of "Project URL" do You have in the Advanced section?
Did You change it?

Thanks,
Codelobster Team.

Hi there
we changed the values from localhost to 127.0.0.1 as instructed (by You)
Any even letting them at Localhost it does not change the outcome.

How do I change the Download path? That the 3rd time I'm asking that.
Do I have to remind the entire staff that the output of
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthrea ... st10123973

depends on making it work, work as advertised I'd like to add. In Windows we encounter the same issue.
So it can't be us. And forget teamviewer. We buy a software and the selling party need to adjust something over teamviewer?
Doesn't look too good. So far the step by step path was the best. Don't get me wrong we do like the software. Otherwise the review would have ended quite some time ago.

You can answer sensitive stuff over email. Support has it, I'm sure.

Why You don't answer to our question?

What value of "Project URL" do You have in the Advanced section?

Thanks,
Codelobster Team.

That is the second time I copy and paste the answer to your question.
Exactly as the step by step demanded.

In your step by step explanation is missing to set up a DB before, give admin rights to the admin you choose to use.

Hi.

1) Does your last screenshot (with database host = 127.0.0.0) return the same error?

2) Lets test your permissions. Please, put the following test.php file into your project folder
and open it by your browser: http://localhost/se544/test.php

Code:
<?php
if(file_put_contents("test.txt", "all ok"))
    echo "all ok";
else
    echo "file write error";

Thanks,
Codelobster Team.
