If you don’t care much about using the pot for stovetop cooking or pressure cooking and are just looking for a canner then this Mirro Polished Aluminum Pressure canner will make your wallet happy. This 21-quart cooker is intended for canning high-acid foods like relishes, pickles, tomatoes, jams, and high-acid fruits. It holds seven quart-sized jars or eight pint-sized jars. This canner has a pop-up pressure indicator that also locks the lid in place for safety when a small amount of pressure remains. Since it does not reach very high pressure, it should not be used for broth or low-acid foods like soup, meat, non-acidic vegetables, or fish.
