Just started using CodeLobster -- trying to decide on a new PHP IDE. How do I cause CodeLobster to do automatic versioning of previous versions of a file? I'm a singleton developer and that's all the versioning I need.

Hi.

Codelobster hasn't any internal versioning system,
but it has ability to use external Git, SVN or Mercurial for push/pull operations via Project Tree control.

Let's be sure we're talking about the same thing. What I mean by automatic versioning is simply incrementing a counter at the end of the file name each time I do a save. For example,
Working version: TestProgram.php
Most recent backup: TestProgram.bak9
Previous backup: TestProgram.bak8
Previous backup TestProgram.bak7
.
.
.
First backup: TestProgram.bak1

Are you telling me that CodeLobster does not do this? I would be very disappointed to hear this as it would lead me to abandon my trial of CodeLobster's free version. I cannot imagine even doing an evaluation without at least some way to back up a step or two if I screw up the program I'm doing the test development with.

Hi, Harvey.

Codelobster hasn't such versioning system.

Codelobster creates .back files on unexpected crashes only,
but it doesn't occur latest several years already :)

Codelobster Team.
