how can i set the preview to localhost so that i dont need to re-type it every time i want to preview my page? the default is always read a folder directory with annoying ms ie "download file" popup, and yes i have already set the virtual host correctly (it doesnt work with zend optimizer though)

Hi.

Do you try to preview .php files?

To preview via localhost you should use F5 button (as for debug).

Codelobster Team.

Hi.

1) What error do you get?

2) You may open via localhost only files located in you web server folder.

3) For opening it via F5 you should configure the debugger at first. Please, take a look at the following topic for it
http://codelobster.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26

Regards,
Codelobster Team.

2) You may open via localhost only files located in you web server folder.
--> yes i understand it, i always use http://localhost at my firefox to view my works

3) For open it via F5 you should configure the debugger at first. Please, see follow topic for it

--> yes, my directory is already set up, php.ini works well.

actually i dont use debugger that much , i just want to set up the previewer so by default it will read the http://localhost and redirect to the project's directory

Hi.

1) You should press F5 button from code window.
Which way are you trying to configure preview via localhost?

2) I think we will create some more convenient feature for it by our next version.

Regards,
Codelobster Team.

--> yes i did
Which way you try to configure preview via localhost?
--> i should the one who ask that, i guess :wink:
--> i think a bookmark system on internal previewer will be good
--> uh, and also it'll convenient if your browser have a switch mode like : ie preview or firefox preview, with multi resolution selector, thats too much i guess :oops: , sorry, opening multiple browsers sometimes is tiring
2) I think we will create some more convenient feature for it in our next version.
--> thanks i'll wait for your next release, i will using external browsers for a while

ow! i found what the problems is!

--> assuming create a new project
1. base url, it should be : http://localhost/
--> my wrong setup is http://localhost/myProject/
2. project name
--> no problems
3. Location : Drive:\xampp\htdocs\myProject\
--> no problems

and now debugger is working fine!

and the question is.....
how can i set firefox as the default previewer/debugger ?

oh, and also, please mark this thread title as [solved] so can help anyone with the same problems, thx

Hi.

1) These are great news about the debugger.

2) Please, see View -> View in Browser menu.
You may preview your project via any browser installed on your PC by pressig Shift+F2, Shift+F3 etc.

Regards,
Codelobster team.

I do think it would be useful to have some means of using the preview window to view pages with server side code.

One simple solution might be a "lock" button beside the URL field on the address bar of the internal browser. Then if you typed a URL into the address field (eg "http://127.0.0.1/filename.php" ) and locked it then it would always go to that page until you unlock it.

A lot of the posts on this forum must sound like complaints - so let me end by saying Codelobster is a really nice piece of software - especially seeing as it's freeware.

Hi.

Big thanks for your suggestion.
We have already thought about it.
It will be implemented in 3.1 or 3.2. version.

Regards,
Codelobster Team.
